Beginnings. I can imagine the coming year as one filled with opportunities to improve the lives of the less fortunate. I am sure we will respond to the challenge of creating pathways to the future for Rotary with the usual vigor and enthusiasm that RC Waling Waling is known for. But what I also look forward to is getting to know personally the women who make the wheel turn for Rotary this side of the world. Perhaps as President, I will enjoy more the fellowship and chance to work with you closely on our many projects.
This year's Rotary International Theme - "The Future of Rotary is in your Hands" - is such a profound challenge that one year seems too short for all that needs to be accomplished. However, the Rotary Club of Waling-Waling Davao has a wealth of experience, a rich human resource, and an excellent track record to rely on.
Together with the officers, board of directors, members, and our club foundation under the able leadership of Governor Tony Veneracion, we will Inspire, Move others, Act now, Give of ourselves, Innovate, Nurture relationships with partners, and Empower the communities to make 2009-2010 another successful one for Rotary.
